A number of new features are now available for WhatsApp users. Following its successful rollout of new features for iPhone users, WhatsApp is now working on bringing the same benefits to Android phone users. There have been a number of recent updates to the instant messaging app, including new features for voice messages and the ability to share files up to 2 GB in size. When it comes to camera design, it’s about to change again. As we all know, new WhatsApp features aren’t always available to all users at once. We’ve already seen an updated WhatsApp camera UI for iPhone users, and now Android phone users are getting the same.

It has been confirmed by the WhatsApp update tracker, WABetaInfo, that the new UI for the WhatsApp camera for iPhones has been released to some Android beta testers as well. As part of the camera re-design process, the media selection has also been given a makeover. In addition to everything else, the media bar that had been removed for iPhone users has been reinstated.

According to the WABetaInfo report, WhatsApp is finally releasing the redesign of the camera and the new media picker with tabs (recents, gallery) for some beta testers who have installed the latest updates of the WhatsApp beta for Android. “WhatsApp has not removed the camera media bar as planned during the development of the new interface: some people complained when it was removed from the WhatsApp beta for iOS, and the company has restored it in another update,” the report stated. Android users will soon be able to take advantage of the updated camera interface, which will be available on all devices in the coming weeks.

In addition, six new features have been added to WhatsApp’s voice messages and will be rolled out over the next few weeks. Forwarded messages can no longer be shared with more than one group chat in the instant messaging app, which has implemented a new limit. New reports claim that the view-once media option for WhatsApp Web will soon be available to users. When a user opens a photo or video that was shared with them, the media automatically disappears from the chat.
