As described by Apple, the comedy revolves around Sam, “the world’s unluckiest girl, who must band together with mystical creatures to unearth a force more powerful than even luck itself” after discovering a previously unknown universe of good and bad luck.

Eva Noblezada plays the role of Sam, while Simon Pegg takes on the role of Bob the lucky black cat in the film, which is partially set in our own real world and partially in the Land of Luck. Additionally, the voices of Whoopi Goldberg, Jane Fonda, and Flula Borg can be heard in it.
