A spokeswoman for Apple told MacRumors that the company is aware of a fault that is causing the cameras on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max to shake and vibrate, and that a remedy will be released the following week.
Users quickly became aware of a shaking problem with third-party camera apps like Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram with the release of the iPhone 14 Pro versions. The bug makes the camera shake violently, producing notably shaky video.
Given the volume of reports we’ve already seen, the problem seems to be widespread. Its ability to be fixed by Apple in a software update is proof that it is a software problem and not a hardware one.
The vibration fault only affects third-party apps, as Apple’s own Camera app is unaffected. There is currently no fix, so iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users should refrain from using the camera in apps like Instagram and TikTok until Apple can resolve the problem next week.
