Apple expressly states that a physical replacement of the iPad or its battery will not address the problem, revealing that it’s a software issue. As of right now, Apple is beta-testing iPadOS 15.6, which may fix the issue when it is published to the public.
According to the MacRumors and Apple Support forums, several iPad mini 6 customers have experienced problems charging their devices following the latest iPadOS update (1, 2, 3, 4).
