Apple iOS 16 Gets Battery Percentage Improvements

The fifth beta of the impending iOS 16 was just released by Apple.

Apple just released the fifth beta of the upcoming iOS 16 software. The long-awaited battery percentage is now visible in the iPhone’s status bar, according to the tech titan. The battery percentage was formerly displayed in the status bar next to the battery icon, but Apple stopped including this function with the release of the iPhone X. According to sources, iOS 16 will bring this feature back to all iPhone models.

The battery percentage functionality that had been missing for so long was finally added in the iOS 16 beta version 5. The battery percentage is now displayed on the iPhone immediately next to the battery icon in the status bar, saving iPhone users from having to navigate through the control center to check the power level.

Yet, this functionality won’t be turned on by default; users will need to go into the settings to do so. The battery tab in settings now has a button to enable the battery percentage feature. According to reports, this function won’t be available for the iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone 13 Mini; however, Apple may introduce it for these iPhones in the future. The corporation hasn’t yet announced that iOS 16 will be released on September 16 along with the iPhone 14 series.
