The Apple TV+ thriller “Surface,” starring Reese Witherspoon and Veronica West, was unveiled in New York City ahead of its July 29th, 2022, streaming debut.
After releasing a teaser trailer in June, “Surface” was officially introduced at a red-carpet event held at The Morgan Library & Museum in New York City, which is located next to Grand Central Station.
Executive producers, including Reese Witherspoon, worked with showrunner, creator, and writer Veronica West. Along with Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Christin Park, and Ari Graynor, Gugu Mbatha-Raw (from “The Morning Show”) will be appearing as well in the film “Surface.”
According to Apple, “Surface” is “set in high-end San Francisco” and “stars Mbatha-Raw… as Sophie, a woman who has suffered a horrific brain injury that has left her with acute memory loss, believed to be the consequence of a suicide attempt.”
Apple continues by saying, “As Sophie goes on a journey to put the pieces of her life back together with the assistance of her husband and friends,” “she begins to doubt whether or not the truth she is told is, in fact, the truth she has lived.”
The premiere of “Surface” will take place on Friday, July 29, 2022, and will consist of the first three episodes.
