The “ShrimpApplePro” leaker claims that the Series 8 of Apple Watch will come in a “new shade of red” and that there won’t be a launch delay.
According to a tweet from ShrimpApplePro earlier today, the Apple Watch Series 8 will continue to be offered in 41mm and 45mm shell sizes, just like the Apple Watch Series 7. The leaker confirmed a recent claim regarding the color possibilities for the Apple Watch Series 8 and added that the (PRODUCT)RED option will be a “new shade of red.”
Compared to the Series 7, the Apple Watch Series 8 is anticipated to come in fewer color variations. The Series 7’s Blue and Green color options might be gone, leaving only Midnight, Starlight, PRODUCT(RED), and Silver.
The packaging for the Apple Watch Series 8 is rumored to be the same as that for the Series 7, but with additional adhesive on the pull-tabs. With this modification, it will be more obvious when the tabs are torn open that the box has been opened because glue traces will be left behind. The updated packaging is reportedly applicable to the entire iPhone 14 model. ShrimpApplePro was informed by sources that the Apple Watch Series 8’s box’s contents are substantially unchanged from the Series 7’s.
The Apple Watch Series 7 debuted last year, about a month after it was first announced and experienced significant shipment delays. According to ShrimpApplePro, the Apple Watch Series 8 has sufficient supply levels, so there should be “little or no shipping delay” when it launches.
