Delivery predictions on the online shop of Apple in the US and some other countries are starting to move into October, just a short time after the company opened pre-orders for all four iPhone 14 variants. Availability according to the ordered configuration varies.
Many consumers who managed to navigate around problems with Apple’s online store and place an order quickly are set for launch day delivery. On Friday, September 16, the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max models will start to ship to customers and go on sale at retailers. The iPhone 14 Plus goes on sale on Friday, October 7.
However, many iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models are now anticipated to arrive from Apple in the first half of October for consumers who have not yet placed their orders. The basic iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus devices have fared better in terms of availability.
Similar circumstances exist in Canada, where the projected delivery date for almost all iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max configurations as of this writing is October.
Although availability varies, customers who really desire one of the new iPhone 14 models on launch day may still succeed in setting up in-store pickup at their local Apple Store via the purchase process on Apple’s website. On launch day, it’s also typical for select Apple Stores to have a limited number of the new iPhones available to walk-in consumers.
The A15 Bionic chip with an additional GPU core, new car crash detection, and satellite texting features for emergencies are about all that has changed for the standard iPhone 14 models this year. In contrast, the Pro models have an always-on display with an entirely new pill-shaped Dynamic Island cutout, a 48-megapixel rear camera lens, and more.
