Brazilian supplier selected by Apple to manufacture iPhone 13

Foxconn Brazil appears to be the source of some iPhone 13 models, as evidenced by the inclusion of the BR/A code at the end of the model number. The BZ/A identifier is found only on Chinese-made iPhone 13s.

Apple’s next flagship phone will be made in Brazil, according to ANATEL, the country’s telecom regulator. However, it’s unclear if the iPhone 13 Pro or the iPhone 13 mini will be assembled as part of the current production schedule.

Brazil has previously been the manufacturing location for the iPhone 11 and iPhone SE, and indications are that the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 will be built in the same location. No information is available on how many or what other Apple products are manufactured at the Foxconn facility.

The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro were unveiled at the “California Streaming” event in September 2021, respectively, as Apple’s newest flagship models.
