(Pocket-lint)- Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 14 series later this year, with four models rumoured to include the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
There have already been a number of rumours surrounding the devices, but the latest suggests that the current notch on the iPhone 14 Pro models will be replaced by a pill-shaped array.
ShrimpApplePro (@VNchocoTaco) on Twitter posted images and measurements of a CAD file for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. In the images, a pill-shaped cutout is shown, with a separate hole next to it, similar to what has been reported in the past. According to reports, the notch will be kept on the standard iPhone 14 models.
According to ShrimpApplePro, the iPhone 14 Pro Max will have dimensions of 160.71 x 78.53 x 12.16mm, with the depth presumably accounting for the back camera lenses. According to the other measurements, the bezel around the display is expected to be 1.95mm, which is smaller than the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 2.42mm.
One cannot be sure of the accuracy of these leaked images. However, the likelihood of seeing this pill-shaped design on future iPhone 14 Pro models is growing. This will be an even more noticeable change to the screen than the introduction of notches on 2017’s iPhone X.
