Canada’s 3D maps have been updated by Apple

Apple has announced that the new Apple Maps experience, which includes detailed 3D buildings and enhanced navigation, will be coming to Canada in the coming weeks.

Starting in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, the app now features more accurate 3D renderings of buildings as well as more intuitive navigation.

MacRumors reported that Apple services chief Eddy Cue said, “We are excited for Apple Maps users to explore the beauty and culture of Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver in an incredibly detailed new way.”

Designed with privacy at its core, this update continues our commitment to building the best, most accurate map of the world, with a beautiful design and attention to detail that only Apple can deliver.

This new Apple Maps experience was available in a number of US cities, including New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, as well as London before it was officially launched nationwide.

iPhone users can access the 3D mode by selecting it from the side menu bar and then selecting 3D.

Improved road details have been added to maps in order to make it easier for drivers to get around cities.

There are clearly marked turn lanes, medians, bus and taxi lanes, and crosswalks at busy intersections.

As a result, new pedestrians can now benefit from immersive walking directions and more comprehensive transit maps.
