Customers in the US now receive a $50 gift card when they purchase an Apple TV

Apple today began offering a $50 gift card with every online purchase of an Apple TV 4K or HD through its online store after momentarily shutting down the Apple Store in the United States.

Only future Apple purchases can be made with the gift card during the promotion’s two-week duration (July 1–14). For example, buyers can’t use it to get $50 off the price of an Apple TV they’re purchasing. Apple’s online store is the only place you can purchase an Apple TV, and the promotion is only open to individual consumers.

This kind of promotion isn’t something Apple does on a regular basis, but the corporation may be preparing for a new Apple TV model. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is working on a redesigned Apple TV that would feature an upgraded A14 CPU and 4GB of RAM. The device might be released as early as 2022.

Additionally, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that an update to its Apple TV set-top box will be available in 2022. Kuo believes that the new Apple TV will have an improved cost structure, which predicts a lower pricing point that is more in line with competing streaming video devices.
