Dummy units of Apple’s iPhone 14 series emerge without evidence of the iPhone 14 mini

Rumors about the upcoming iPhone 14 series may be six months away, but they continue to circulate among the tech community. As previously discussed, Lightning connectors are expected to be USB 3.0-enabled on Apple’s new iPhones. Some dummy units, which we’ve embedded below, have also made their way onto Chinese social media. Check them out! Because it is not yet known whether or not these dummy units are real, we urge you to proceed with caution.

Even so, the designs shown match up with previous leaks, including the fact that there will be no iPhone 14 mini. The iPhone 14 will take the place of the iPhone mini as Apple’s smallest flagship phone. The rear design of the iPhone 14 carries over to the so-called iPhone 14 Max, which is no surprise. As a further point of comparison, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max appear to have the same-sized camera lenses as the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini.

It’s clear from the dummy units that both the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s camera housings have been made thicker. In the end, it may be impossible to tell the two iPhones apart based solely on their back designs. A 48 MP primary camera is expected in both models, which would be a significant improvement over the iPhone 13 Pro’s and iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 12 MP sensor.
