The Dynamic Island, a new interface component that gives premium phones a striking new design by Apple, is by far the most intriguing feature of the new iPhone 14 Pro. According to a recent report, the Dynamic Island will soon be available for lower-end versions as well.
The Dynamic Island is “anticipated on regular models on the 15,” suggesting the notch will be eliminated on non-Pro iPhone 15 devices, according to Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants. One of the first analysts to foresee the hole+pill display design for the iPhone 14 Pro was Young.
The always-on display, however, might remain restricted to the Pro versions as Young claims he is “not expecting 120Hz/LTPO” for the iPhone 15. ProMotion is only available on the Pro models of Apple’s other products, including the iPad and MacBook Pro.
By introducing the Dynamic Island to the rest of the iPhone lineup, Apple would encourage more participation from outside developers and swiftly establish it as a distinctive feature of the iPhone. Additionally, the iPhone 15 is anticipated to switch to USB-C from Lightning on all models and have a number of Pro-only features like a faster 3nm A17 chipset and an improved periscope-style telephoto camera.
