Get ready to be blown away by an iOS update if you haven’t felt truly excited in a while. Earlier iOS updates were primarily focused on fixing bugs and adding emojis, but the iOS 14 update has everyone abuzz due to a new customization feature.
In the past few years, iOS customization was limited to wallpapers and lock screens. iPhone and iPad users now have the option to change their home screen and the icons on their app icons after downloading iOS 14.
You can add personalized widgets to your home screens, such as your calendar, time, and pictures. Having a token icon for an app is no longer required in iOS 14. Your home screen can be based on your own aesthetic preference, so you must choose the colors, symbols, and fonts accordingly.
You can now customize your iPhone’s home screen with iOS 14 due out shortly. By adding 3rd party widgets and custom icons to apps, iOS 14 users can ignore the drab and conventional look. In addition to creating interesting and cool widgets, the Widgetsmith app enables you to change the icon of your app.
Customizing your iPhone app icons is not a difficult task. The color of your apps can be changed in iOS 14 without the need to jailbreak. You can change the app icons on iOS 14 using the Shortcuts app in the iOS 14 interface.
The following tutorial will show you how to change your app icon’s color with Shortcuts in iOS.
How To Change The Color Of Your Apps On iPhone?
Create an app icon that reflects your personality
There are a few things to keep in mind
- The icon color of your apps can be changed in iOS 14 without the help of third-party apps or themes.
- To create an icon Color custom to your theme, you will need to use the Shortcuts app.
- You can only use a limited set of colors, but you can also switch up the glyphs to make things more interesting.
Using the Shortcuts app for iPhones running iOS 14, you can alter the color of your app icons.
When it comes to personalizing the home screen of your iPhone, there are more options than just setting you. This is one of my favorite image backgrounds. Additionally, you can customize the app icons to fit your personal style. To feel Zen, recoloring your app icons so that they match your home screen will be the best thing to do if you are a minimalist. The Shortcuts app makes this simple.
Install the latest version of iOS 14 on your iPhone before you begin customizing your app icons.
- Shortcuts will open. You probably already have this app installed on your iPhone. The Apple App Store may be necessary on older iPhones.
- You can add more information by clicking the + (more) icon in the top right corner of the app.
- Click Add in the action box of the new shortened screen.
4. Enter “Open” in the search results to find the application.
5. Then select To choose from the list of shortcuts on Shortcut.
6. Click the app you’d like to change the icon for on the To choose the app page. We will choose Photos here. At the top of the page, there is also a bar called Search Apps, where you can type the name of the application. After selecting your choice from the results, you will see a list of matches.
7. Instead of the place where you left off, the app name will appear when you return to the New Choose before typing the shortcut page. At the top of the page, tap the three-dot menu.
8. The name of the application should be changed on the details page. To do this, type the short name in the field that appears on the details page. When you select the app, the new name should be something that you are familiar with.
9. Once you have tapped the app name, select the details icon.
10. Upon clicking this button, you will be directed to a selection page where you can select the icon you would like to use for the app and the color you wish to use. Select the color you want for the icon by clicking Color, then clicking the desired color.
11. You can select the symbol to appear on your app icon by tapping Glyph. It is not possible to not display glyphs, so choose the one that is closest to what you are looking for.
12. Make your selections and then click Made.
13. The Details page has been returned to you. Tap Add to the home screen to add it to your home screen.
14. An icon preview will appear so that you can see what your app icon will look like. Click the Add button.
15. A short confirmation will appear on the page after you returned to the Details page. Your new app icon can be found on your home screen now that you have exited Shortcuts.
Once you’ve done that, you can repeat the process for all the icons that you want customizing. But unfortunately, the only colors displayed on the menu are the ones you can select. Creating custom color for icons is not possible.
