  • Then toggle the setting on Content Restrictions under Content & Privacy Restrictions.

3. To access Web Content, tap on Content Restrictions and then scroll down.

Please note that the above mentioned steps only work with the built-in browser in iOS, Safari. You cannot turn off private browsing on iPhone and iPad if you use Chrome or Firefox.

In order to prevent your device from downloading third-party apps in the future, you can delete those apps. By doing this, private browsing will be disabled if you have turned off incognito mode in Safari as well.

Here’s how you do it:

  • Screen Time can be found under Settings.
  • On the Content & Privacy page, click on the toggle to enable it.
  • Select Content Restrictions.
  • Go to the Apps section.
  • Choose Don’t Allow.

Apps that are already on your iPhone will not be available for download. Even though it prevents third-party browsers from being downloaded, it can be cumbersome. Unless you switch off the settings you have enabled each time, you won’t be able to download the apps you need.
