Here you will find the complete information about “How To Recover Permanently Deleted Notes On iPhone?” Check it below!

How To Recover Permanently Deleted Notes On iPhone?

Start with these simple steps

You can do a few things immediately after noticing that your notes are gone that will increase your chances of recovering the data.

1. Go to Recent Deleted Folders

You will find the Notes app contains a Recently Deleted folder if you are using iOS 11 or later (including iOS 14). Deleted notes can be recovered in this folder, however, they are only available for 30 days as indicated by the word “Recently”. Deleted notes will be permanently deleted after 30 days, which may take up to 40 days. For this reason, you can first check the Recently Deleted folder if you would like to recover notes deleted within 30 days. Refer to the following guide to recover deleted notes:

1. Find the Recently Deleted folder in the Notes app.

2. You can edit your document by tapping Edit in the top right corner.

3. You can recover notes by selecting them.

4. Move by tapping the Move option.

5. As the destination of this move, select a folder on your iPhone.

2. Ensure you have backups

After that, check if both iTunes and iCloud have backed up the notes. It is possible to restore the deleted notes by restoring the backup. Despite its simplicity, however, there is one major issue: you cannot access or view iTunes/iCloud backups first. The data you created since the last backup could even be lost if the notes you need are not included in the backup file.

3. Use Your iPhone only if it has a backup

Deleted notes must be manually retrieved from an iPhone if you do not have a backup. “Can I get my deleted notes back on my iPhone without iTunes or iCloud?” may start to seem impossible for some people. It’s actually possible.

On iPhone, you don’t actually lose your data immediately when you delete it. Instead of being stored in “unallocated” categories, they will be placed in “Unallocated”. The deleted files will be overwritten and removed completely once new files are created and occupy the space in “Unallocated”. As a result, if you would still like your notes back, you should stop using the iPhone immediately so that they do not disappear permanently. With this information, you will be able to use third-party tools to recover the deleted notes using the database search.

Method 1:  Recover iCloud Notes that have been permanently deleted

When you are unable to locate your notes in the ‘Recently Deleted’ folder, you can try to retrieve them via iCloud. It is possible to include deleted notes in iCloud Storage if you have configured iCloud backup and meet the requirements for automatic iCloud daily backups.

1. Access iCloud from Settings > [your name] > iCloud on your iPhone.

2. Switch the toggle switch for Notes to On. Turn on WiFi on your devices. Once downloaded to your iPhone, all of your iCloud notes will be available.

3. Using the Notes app, you can check whether you have recovered your iCloud notes.

Have trouble finding those deleted important notes? iCloud backups and iTunes backups are both available for restoring an iPhone. The old iPhone will be found and restored to an earlier version that has the ability to save notes.

Method 2: Using the iTunes backup feature

Your deleted notes are likely to be included in iTunes backups if you regularly back up your iPhone with iTunes. If you restore the backup, your current iPhone content will be overwritten. There will also be no visibility into the contents of that backup, so it’s only a matter of faith.

1. Your iPhones can be connected to iTunes on your desktop using a USB cable.

2. View your iPhone’s data summary by clicking the phone icon.

3. The “Manually Back Up and Restore” section of that page gives you the option to restore a backup. To do this, click on it.

4. The selected backup will be used to restore your iPhone once you’ve done this. If you are doing this in a manner other than connected to your computer, do not disconnect your iPhone.

5. Following the restoration, you will receive the following pop-up letting you know that the procedure has been completed. To view your previously deleted notes, head over to the Notes app.
