In the current versions of iOS, users can quickly select multiple images from the Photos app using a convenient dragging gesture, so they no longer need to continually tap on images or choose pictures by date.

Using iOS’s drag and select gestures, you can select as many photos as you can see on screen, which can then be shared, added to a folder, moved, or handled in other ways. With an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, you tap and drag to select groups of files or images instead of clicking and dragging as you would with a computer.

In this article, we explain how to select all photos on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

How to Select All Photos on iPhone?

With iOS 9, Apple changed the way multiple photos are selected. Sharing a batch of snapshots with family and friends is now easier by swiping them rather than tapping them all individually. Follow these steps to select all photos on iPhone.

Step 1:

Within the iOS Photos app, pictures are automatically sorted by date, location, and year into collections. Select a collection from the list.

Step 2:

Choose the Select option from the upper-right corner of the screen.

Step 3:

To select photos, drag your finger over them. Each one will be marked in blue.

Step 4:

Click and drag down to select all photos in a row.

Step 5:

Choosing your photos is the first step, and then you have a few options. You can share photos with a variety of apps (Gmail, iCloud Photo Sharing, Twitter, Facebook & Instagram, etc.). You can also print photos or make slideshows. When you click the Trash Can icon, you can delete photos, and when you click Add To, you can add photos to an album.

Is there a photo cleaner I can use?

It is a very efficient tool to clean photos. You may turn to Photo Cleaner if you want to delete all photos from your iPhone but the process I just described seems a bit cumbersome. Using this free application, you can delete all the photos from your phone in a few taps.

It is almost unnecessary to explain how this application works. Once you have downloaded it from the App Store, run it and grant it access to your iPhone’s photos by clicking Okay on the notice it displays. To complete the operation, press the Select button located in the upper right corner, then select the option Select all and then press the trash can icon at the top right and the top Eliminate button.

As a result of this operation, the photos will be permanently removed from the Camera Roll; however, they will temporarily be stored in the Recently removed section of the application Gallery in iOS. To free up space on your iPhone, you can delete them from there too by opening Gallery, choosing Albums > Recently Deleted, and clicking on the first article Select which is in the top right corner, followed by the option Remove everything in the bottom left corner.
