If you use these iPhone tricks while texting, you can save a lot of time

For iPhone users, these simple tips can make texting a lot easier and more efficient.

Users can send and receive messages and files with ease using Apple’s iMessage, easily one of the best messaging platforms available.

The service, which is available on Apple’s iOS platform, has a seemingly endless number of clever features.

It’s also worth noting that the platform has a number of tools that can help you speed up your texting.

It is possible to use many of these tricks when you need to send a quick message while doing something else.

A list of some of these tricks has been compiled below.

Press the spacebar twice to punctuate

Did you know that you can use the spacebar to add a period to your text messages?

A simple double-tap of the spacebar after you’ve typed a word results in a period and space being automatically added.

This small habit can save you a lot of time by eliminating the need to switch back and forth between different types of punctuation.

A long period of time is required for email/web address suffixes

Nowadays, we constantly give out our email addresses to people we don’t know, websites, apps, and services we’ve never heard of.

To expedite things, hit the period key on your keyboard.

To see “.com,” “.net,” and “.org,” simply hold down the period key while pressing it.

While typing URLs into the Safari browser, the same trick can be applied.

Your message should be dictated

Dictation is one of the most useful hacks you can employ for texting.

When your hands are full and you’re unable to properly text, this tool comes in handy.

To begin with, press the microphone icon in the lower-right corner of your keyboard to activate it.

You can then speak your message into your phone’s microphone by holding down the icon for a second.

You should be able to see your device begin typing your message for you.

Your phone can even send your texts for you if you have Siri turned on.

Texting by swipe

Swipe Text, an alternative to typing on an iPhone, allows users to slide their fingers across the keyboard to enter text instead of using the traditional keyboard.

Please go to Settings > General > Keyboards in order to activate this feature.

Toggle Slide to Type on by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page.

If you’re not used to texting in this way, it will take some time to get used to, but you’ll save a lot of time once you do.
