iOS 15.6 update has been released for the iPhone 13, iPhone 12 and other iPhones that are eligible

Apple has just launched iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 for iPhone and iPad users. The new iOS/iPadOS update has been released just a few days after the iOS 16 public beta was made available for customers to download and install. iPadOS/iOS 15.6 may be the final release until iOS 16 is released later this year.

There are numerous bug fixes in this new release. It appears that iOS 15.6 (and iPadOS 15.6) has new features such as the ability to restart a live sports game that is currently in progress and the ability to pause the Apple TV app, rewind the video, or fast-forward the video.

It has been fixed in iOS 15.6 to show that the device’s storage is available even if it isn’t full. Also fixed is a problem with braille devices that may slow down or cease responding when navigating text in the mail app.

The last bug that was fixed in the new update was a problem in Safari where a tab could go back to a prior page.

All users of iOS 15.6 are eligible for the free upgrade. The latest iOS 15.6 update is now available for iPhone 6S and later users via Settings > General > Software Update. It’s always a good idea to make a copy of your data before making any changes to your iPhone or iPad.
