A crucial recent rumour suggests that Apple will likely hold an event on September 7 to introduce the iPhone 14 range and the Apple Watch Series 8.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who frequently provides correct information about Apple’s intentions, the firm intends to hold its eagerly awaited event to unveil new iPhone and Apple Watch models in the first few days of September. The new iPhone and Apple Watch models may be unveiled on Friday, September 16, according to Gurman’s additional claim that Apple has instructed some store staff to get ready for a new product release.
If the reports regarding an event on September 7 are true, we can anticipate receiving official invitations about a week beforehand, possibly before the end of August. Pre-orders could start the following Friday, September 9, after the event, and orders would start shipping to clients the following Friday, September 16, after that.
The event will once again be electronically broadcast via a recorded video, according to reports that Apple has already begun planning for it. Like WWDC earlier this year, there might still be an in-person component, with certain media representatives invited to watch the event live in person, followed by hands-on time with the new gadgets.
A 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max are anticipated to make up the iPhone 14 lineup. Notably, there won’t be a 5.4-inch “iPhone 14 tiny” because the sales of the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini were underwhelming.
While the iPhone 14 Pro models are anticipated to have “pill and hole-punch” shaped cutouts in place of the notch, the A16 chip, a 48-megapixel Wide camera, and a slightly taller display with thinner bezels, the standard iPhone 14 models are anticipated to have 50% more memory, improved battery life, an improved Ultra Wide camera, and an upgraded front-facing camera with autofocus. There will be numerous additional color options available for the entire lineup.
Additionally, three new Apple Watch models—the Apple Watch Series 8, the second-generation Apple Watch SE, and a new “Pro” model—are anticipated. A new entry-level iPad, upgraded iPad Pro models, an Apple silicon Mac Pro, and other products are reportedly rumoured to be in the works, but these could be saved for a second event later in the year.
