iPhone 14 Pro models freeze after data transfers according to Apple


In an internal document released today , Apple stated that it is looking into a flaw that could cause the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models to freeze after users transfer their data from an older iPhone.

Apple claims in the document that it is “aware of the issue occurring and is looking into it.” After an iCloud restore or data transfer from their prior iPhone during the Quick Start procedure, Apple specifically warns that some customers may experience freezing and unresponsiveness with their new iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max models.

Apple suggests forcing a restart of the iPhone as a temporary solution if it becomes unresponsive for longer than five minutes. The activation of new iPhone 14 Pro customers’ devices was problematic. While the iPhone 14 Pro comes pre-installed with iOS 16, buyers should install iOS 16.0.1 after configuring their new smartphone.
