We’re aware of the timeline: WWDC debut, first developer release days or even hours afterwards, public beta a few weeks later, and general release in September are all confirmed.

We know that the unveiling will take place on Monday, June 6, so that’s where we begin.

According to Mark Gurman, the first public beta will arrive later this year than usual. That’s not good news for Apple enthusiasts who aren’t developers but nonetheless want to try out the new software as soon as possible.

He claims the public beta is usually released at the same time as the second dev beta. This year, though, it will be released in conjunction with the third developer beta, which is expected in July.

On the surface, it appears to be only two or three weeks behind schedule.

If that’s true, then a public beta would be impossible due to the sheer volume of flaws in the software. There is a ripple effect if there are defects in the early stages of beta testing, which affects subsequent stages.

It’s not clear if this means that the iPhone 14’s final software won’t arrive in time for September’s launch. No, however it’s possible that some of the new features announced by Apple on June 6 will not be ready for iOS 16 and will instead be reserved for iOS 16.1, 16.2 or whatever else comes later.

However, there is reason to be hopeful. There is yet room for things to alter, according to Gurman. As soon as possible, you can guarantee that Apple will do everything in its power to bring things back on track.

Although it’s better to be a few days late in the beginning than to have a flawed release afterwards.

Gurman has also indicated that there will be newly developed Apple applications as well as new interfaces for interfacing with the system. In this scenario, it will be even more vital to iron out the wrinkles as soon as possible rather than waiting till later.
