Mumbai’s Apple store is being postponed because of pandemic concerns

Apple has put off opening its flagship store in Mumbai until 2023 because of problems with supplies. This is because India is still recovering from the coronavirus pandemic.

The first Apple store in India was initially scheduled to debut in 2021. Apple announced to the Indian press in August 2021 that COVID had postponed the opening of the retail store.

Apple has now announced that there has been a further delay, albeit no particular date has been offered as of yet. As reported by the Economic Times of India, Apple is now expected to launch in the first quarter of 2023.

There are no more specific dates or explanations for the delay, and the reasons for the delay remain a mystery. Three senior industry officials, however, were quoted in the publication as saying that the epidemic was at least an influence.

According to reports, the interior fitting has been postponed, and it is taking longer to obtain the essential supplies because shipping is still hampered.

Since the year 2020, Apple has had an online presence in India with its local online store.
