An increasing number of Apple TV consumers have been reporting various troubles while trying to listen to Dolby Atmos audio on their devices via external speakers and the Apple TV in recent months.
Users are reporting problems with their Apple TVs and Dolby Atmos speakers in a discussion on Apple’s help forums that began in September 2021 and has grown to over 25 pages of user complaints. Users have reported that when listening to Dolby Atmos content, the audio would occasionally cut out completely and go silent, or it would be out of rhythm with the videos on the screen, or it would be jerky and stutter.
Despite the fact that several Apple TV apps are experiencing the problem, the vast majority of complaints come from people using Netflix. Disabling Dolby Atmos in the audio options appears to be the only solution for certain customers. Apple published TVOS 15.4.1 last month, but it doesn’t appear to have fixed the vulnerabilities that had been reported. Do you have the same problems? Let us know in the comments section below.
