Watch the Google Pixel 6 Pro take on the iPhone 13 Pro

In years, Google hasn’t attempted a proper flagship smartphone like the Pixel 6 Pro – one that’s competitive in all areas, not just one or two, as in previous years.

Within a few hours, Google will release the new device in select markets where it sells its products.

It would be interesting to see how Google’s latest and greatest compare to Apple’s latest and greatest, would it not? Perhaps in a side-by-side speed comparison? We have just that for you today, courtesy of PhoneBuff.

There will be a fierce battle between the Google Pixel 6 Pro and the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max. It’s time to buckle up and watch.

It’s neck-and-neck with the iPhone taking the first ’round’ in the end, but the Pixel comes in just 4 seconds late. The Pixel begins well, but then the iPhone makes a comeback, and then it’s neck-and-neck again.

Based on the RAM management test, the two devices are still head-to-head, but the iPhone has the advantage by 6 seconds in the end.

As a result, the Pixel, while fast in this type of test, cannot beat the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

However, in day-to-day life, such marginal differences in app loading times are unlikely to be noticed – unless you have a Pixel 6 Pro and an iPhone 13 Pro Max, and are using both at the same time to do the same task. I hope that isn’t a real use case.
