The final version of watchOS 8.7, which includes a number of bug patches, is now available for download.
Apple Watch users will be happy to know that watchOS 8.7 has been made available to the public and features bug fixes and performance enhancements. No public-facing features for the update have been revealed by Apple.
As is the case with previous releases of watchOS 8, it will be compatible with the Apple Watch Series 3 and subsequent models, in addition to the Apple Watch SE.

Following the announcement of watchOS 9 at WWDC 2022, additional significant feature releases can be anticipated. The Apple Watch Series 3 will no longer be supported once it is released, which is expected to take place in the fall.
The third developer beta version of watchOS 9 was made available by Apple on July 6th. On July 12, watchOS 8.7’s release candidate was distributed to registered developers and made available for testing.
