East Wenatchee, Washington — The Funtastic Shows Carnival of the Washington State Apple Blossom Festival will be held at the Wenatchee Valley Mall this year.
The carnival will be held in the Sportsman’s Warehouse parking lot from April 29 to May 8 and will be open Monday through Friday at 3 p.m., Saturdays at noon, and Sundays at 1 p.m.
The carnival was originally planned to be held at the old state Department of Transportation property off Wenatchee Avenue, but Festival Administrator Darci Christoferson said the planning for the location became more extensive than expected.
She explained that a large amount of dirt would have been brought in and fencing would have been erected. “After a while, things started to get really tense. Then we decided it was time to move on.
This is the carnival’s second relocation since it left its Riverfront Park location at the foot of Fifth Street in 2016.
He said, “We’ve been looking at houses in the area for quite some time now,” Christoferson.
Jerrilea Crawford, the mayor of East Wenatchee, said the city is proud to host one of Apple Blossom’s most important events in the city.
According to a press release, Crawford said, “We get to celebrate Apple Blossom with the Classy Chassis Parade on May 6, and now we’re even more excited to add the Carnival!” “We adore this cherished custom and the happiness it brings to our family.”
